Phan Rang, Vietnam -- Yesterday's was another busy day for the team. The local hospital staff is now used to us sharing their space and the day was particularly special when we were able to operate on both a mother and her daughter. The daughter needed to have her cleft palate repaired and her mother was in need of a cleft lip revision.
Also on the surgery schedule was a 17-year-old who was severely burned when he was 14 years old. Our surgeons released his arm contractures. The operation meant a lot to the teenager.
The mothers of our patients are incredibly grateful regardless of the surgery type or age of their child.
